Or This? . . . Or This?

I don't have enough of the yellow-red fabric to get the sashing out of it. But it will give me the excuse to talk to the students about "fussy cutting" I think I might use the yellow for cornerstones and the pink-purple fabric on the right in the pic below for the sashing. At this stage I'm thinking of the blue squares as a resting place for the eyes in what will otherwise be quite a bright and busy quilt. Definitely a kids' quilt, this one.

Are you taking votes? I'd vote for the dotty one - with maybe the stripes as binding!

PS: Word validation is "wispewe" - perhaps more appropriate for spinning than quilting - a wisp of ewe's wool.

I'm happy to take votes, but I'd gone ahead and cut the stripey one this afternoon. I have the dotty one with me to show the students tonight, so I'll pass on your vote:) by the way, not sure quite what you mean by "word validation", but I like the sound of a "wispewe" . . . can you fill me in?

ooh the stripes are gooood.
pity about not having enough of the scary yellow/orange one, but this one seems to work well, maybe even better.
does the quilt have a destination? some ladies i know are making quilts for those who have lost everything in the bushfires. just a thought...

sorry . . . just worked it out--it's the letters you needed to type to prove to the "system" that you're a human, right?

Yes, the word validation apparently proves I'm human. Today's is "sporo", which I can't really make into anything relevant, unfortunately.
