One more tool

Here's one I forgot to mention in the list of things you need for sewing: it's a "quick unpick" or "stitch ripper". It's got a sharp little point for getting under the stitch and a clever little blade to cut the thread. But it's also more than capable of cutting through the fabric itself, so use it carefully!
